1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, book a lesson, reserve a court, register for a clinic, camp, or tournament, purchase a membership, or contact us for support. This may include:

  • Name, email address, and phone number
  • When you sign in with Apple, Apple may provide a private relay email address (e.g. ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com) instead of your real address. We use this address only to send you transactional emails (booking confirmations, receipts). Apple controls whether those emails are forwarded to your real inbox.
  • Profile information such as sport preferences, skill level, city, and profile photo
  • Booking and registration history (lessons, courts, clinics, camps, tournaments)
  • Coach and club profile details (bio, certifications, availability, pricing, locations)
  • Device and browser information, IP address, and usage data collected automatically
  • Location data (when you grant permission) to show nearby coaches, clubs, and facilities

We do not collect or store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or any sensitive financial information. All payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe (see Section 5 below).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the BaselineBook platform
  • Process bookings, registrations, and transactions between players, coaches, and clubs
  • Send booking confirmations, reminders, cancellation notices, and payment receipts
  • Display relevant coaches, clubs, programs, and events based on your location and preferences
  • Manage waitlists and notify you when spots become available
  • Enable communication between players, coaches, and club administrators
  • Enforce platform rules, prevent fraud, and resolve disputes
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our services

3. Information Sharing

We share your information only as necessary to operate the platform:

  • Coaches and clubs: When you book a lesson, reserve a court, or register for a program, the relevant coach or club receives your name, contact information, and booking details so they can provide the service.
  • Other players: If you join a group clinic, camp, or tournament, limited information (such as your name) may be visible to other participants and organizers.
  • Stripe: Payment details are transmitted directly to Stripe for processing. BaselineBook does not have access to your full card number or bank account information.
  • Supabase: We use Supabase for authentication and data storage. Your data is stored securely in their infrastructure.
  • Apple (Sign in with Apple): If you choose to sign in with your Apple ID, Apple authenticates you and shares a unique identifier and, if you allow it, your name and email address with us. Apple may substitute a private relay email address in place of your real address. If you later revoke Sign in with Apple access for BaselineBook in your Apple ID settings, we will sign you out and your Apple ID will no longer be linked to your account.   • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit
  • Row-level security policies on our database to ensure users can only access their own data
  • Secure authentication via Supabase Auth with email verification
  • No storage of sensitive payment credentials on our servers

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Payment Processing & Stripe

All payments on BaselineBook are processed by Stripe, Inc., a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. When you make a payment:

  • Your payment card details are entered directly on Stripe's secure checkout page — they never pass through or are stored on BaselineBook servers.
  • BaselineBook receives only a transaction confirmation, payment status, and a Stripe transaction ID. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, or bank account details.
  • Coaches and clubs receive payments through Stripe Connect. Their banking information is managed entirely by Stripe and is not accessible to BaselineBook.
  • Refunds, when applicable, are processed through Stripe and returned to the original payment method.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser cookies and local storage to:

  • Keep you signed in to your account
  • Remember your cart items (lessons, courts, programs) between visits
  • Store your language and display preferences

We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

7. Your Rights & Choices

You may:

  • Update or correct your profile information at any time through your account settings
  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us
  • Revoke Sign in with Apple access at any time via your Apple ID settings (Settings › [Your Name] › Password & Security › Apps Using Apple ID). This will sign you out of BaselineBook and unlink your Apple ID from your account.
  • Opt out of non-essential email communications

8. Children's Privacy

BaselineBook is not directed to children under 13. Player accounts for minors must be created and managed by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.

9. Limitation of Liability

BaselineBook is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BaselineBook and its owners, operators, affiliates, and agents disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

In no event shall BaselineBook be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, loss of bookings, or any other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

BaselineBook is not responsible for any loss, corruption, or unauthorized access to personal information or data stored on the platform, except where such loss is directly caused by our gross negligence. We are not liable for the actions, conduct, or quality of services provided by coaches, clubs, academies, or any third parties accessible through the platform. All transactions and interactions between users are solely between those parties.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to BaselineBook, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of BaselineBook after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
